Of all the Indian restaurants I've tried in St. Louis, Raj's is by far my favorite. I've probably eaten at Raj's about 40 times, and the food's always delicious! My favorite dishes are the Muligatawny soup and the Tikka Masala, and the Vegetable Korma is hugely popular among my friends. I especially love the buffet, which is open every day for lunch, and has an assortment of vegetarian dishes (no meat options).

Raj's is not a huge place, so the buffet's pretty small (maybe 5-6 main dishes, plus sides, breads, rice, desserts), but it's always good. The food is very reasonably priced; you can get the buffet or a dinner box for only $8.
Raj's was voted best vegetarian restaurant in the Riverfront Times last year. I normally find that I completely disagree with their reviews, but in this case they got it right!

The decor is a bit lacking, though they have recently expanded and have started making some improvements. The people on staff (all family members of Raj's) are very helpful, as is Raj himself - he once offered to teach my boyfriend how to cook Indian food! The service is sometimes a little slow, so be prepared to stay awhile, but the food makes it well worth the wait.

Yummy! I love Indian food, and I feel like I've been to every other Indian spot in STL (Gokul, Govinda's, House of India, Indian Palace, Ruchi, etc.), so it was about time that I tried Raj's Rasoi.

Went on a Sunday night, and we were the only four people there. I was worried, but there was no need! Perhaps Sunday is just a slow night.

The food was DELICIOUS! I ordered the Dinner Box, which came with 2 entrees, daal, naan, an appetizer, AND a dessert! All this for the low low price of $7.99. I couldn't believe I got so much food for so CHEAP! And it was all good. Everything.

Service was friendly and attentive, and they didn't have a problem splitting our check 4 ways, which is good.

I would definitely come back. Hopefully this place sticks around for a long time; it was quite worrisome that it was so empty.

100% vegetarian indian restaurant that offers vegan dishes or will make modifications. They also have vegan baked goods. The restaurant is in a small strip mall and not very fancy, but the food is wonderful. Great take-out.
